My mother’s time is coming, and for as much as I’d like to protest her leaving, I know it’s right and good and that I’ll do well to accept it for what it is. Still, I’m human on this trip, and I’m having a hard time contemplating continuing my journey without her.

What a great post, Amy! I love it.
And added kudos for putting up a Kung Fu Panda clip: I love that film. Though the clip does carry a very nice message… We cannot possibly control everything that happens in our life, no matter how hard we try. But, what we can do is make the best of what we’ve got.
I think, especially in this day and age, that this is an important lesson we all could do with learning. Or being reminded of, if we already have learnt it.
