Hi Amy,
Love the pictures. I've always liked flower photos. I did not know Spring came to Scotland so early. Very cool. The only thing blooming in my part of Maryland are the crocuses, which are very cool. Our trees finally have buds on them and should be blooming soon.

Amy, these are drop dead gorgeous photos. Lovely light, rich color, strong composition.
I was quite surprised that Scotland is is full bloom already. Alas, there is no sign whatsoever of green here. We're still trapped under a foot of snow and it's 20 below Centigrade. Brr! But spring is just around the corner, right? Someone please tell Jack Frost to give it a rest!

Last year at about this time I was inspired to write about the spring flowers in Bristol. Don't forget to play the music.

This remeinds me of spring in Michigan. My favorite flowers are the crocus that are brave enough to be the first to break ground and peek from the snow. The daffodils are my "happy flower."

We had a bit of an icy blast yesterday too, Alex. Lovely blue skies today tho! Oh, and I thought you might like to check this out:

I love crocuses - one of my favourite moments each spring back in Toronto was seeing the crocuses peek up through the last bits of snow.

Here in the Basque Country, we're well into spring, with the daffodils and irises blooming as well as the magnolias. Although today we're back into wintery conditions (for us being heavy winds/rains hovering around 5C).

Funnily enough, Nicola, Autumn is actually my favourite season. I love the change of the colours, the nip in the air and first frost. Lovely :-)

Doesn't it just, Linda!

Yes, Mrs Chili, where oh where would Scotland be without the gulf stream? Well, most likely under several inches of snow!

I find having flowers around me lifts my spirits in a way nothing else quite matches, Lori. I think you should begin that garden, even if you just start with a couple of pots or a window box.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the weather forecast, Eilidh! No snow yet for Stirlingshire tho...

Spring is just around the corner, Karen. I just know it :-)

It really is amazing how different our climate is because of that gulf stream, Friar. I for one am terribly grateful for it!

ARghh! (it's painful to see those beautiful photos!)

Where I live in Canada, there's three feet of snow on the ground and it's going to minus 20C tonight.

(And what's annoying is you're probably further north than where I live!)
