Spent the other day there taking photos in my Grandad’s garden and then more at the local garden centre. Thought I’d share them here, seeing as you all seemed to enjoy the last set so much!
If your corner of the world is still covered in snow, I hope these bring a little Springtime colour

Glorious!
I’m a total sucker for photos of flowers! You’ve got a real detail-loving eye and a zest for life that comes out in all your photos. When my blog goes live, I think you’ll like my banner; last spring, I decided that with our dreich Scottish weather, I could do with a wee bit of spring colour all year round!

A LITTLE color?! You’re kidding, right?
Amy, when you put these posts up, I don’t know whether to bless your name or damn your eyes (I LOVE that saying! I heard it from an old woman a little while ago – “that Margaret! Damn her eyes!” – and it just stuck. Old-fashioned curses are so charming!). Anyway, the point I’m trying (badly) to make is that while these posts make me sigh in gratitude for the beauty and the color and the promise that they hold, they also make me bitter and angry at the weather outside my door. We woke this morning to a mix of snow and freezing rain (oh, joy) and, though they weather prognosticators have promised me 48° F later in the week, it’s not supposed to go much above freezing until then.
Sigh.

Stunning! I also love seeing a field of scylla poking up through the spring grass. The front yard of my old house was full of them… http://www.flickr.com/photos/bitterroot/443115759/ (Not my house)
Wow. I’m simply stunned by the clarity and vivacious color here. Just … wow. Thank you so much for sharing.
Colour all year round sounds good to me, Janice!
I rather like that curse, Mrs Chili! I must admit that you were in my thoughts as I posted these photos
I’ve been spotting those scylla everywhere since you pointed them out to me, Alex! Thank you so much!
You are most welcome, Sherrie – I’m glad you enjoyed them so much.

BEAUTIFUL photos. And, I suppose there are a couple of tiny hints of Spring here in NJ, but nothing like this. Not yet! But I saw some crocuses poking their noses through the dirt last week, and there are starting to be signs of buds on the trees … so, it’s coming.
Spring flowers are gifts I miss in the Midwest. I can only purchase them here. Yes I love the cacti we have here and I’m hiking next week in search of wildflowers in the desert, yeah!
