While walking up through Alva Glen today, we came across an incredible sight – a frozen waterfall. Like a curtain of water over grass, rock and moss it glimmered and gleamed; the cerulean blue of the sky reflected back in its smooth surface.
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve seen whilst out walking in nature?

That’s amazing, Amy! I miss Alva Glen!

That’s gorgeous! Which reminds me I really, really miss nature. It seems I’ve been mostly around concrete and neat parks ever since my vacation in Turkey.

I think you caught the light just right in #2 and #5. I wonder what they’d look like processed as a duotone with a light blue tint? The one with the circle is also intriguing – I’m still trying to work out why the ice froze like that.

Beautiful pictures, Amy … a little spooky in a way, too. The most amazing thing I’ve ever seen is the Grand Canyon in the southwest U.S.

That circle in the middle of the third picture is pretty cool. (It’s ice, so of course it’s cool)
The guy who invented water and ice is quite the creative artist. Thanks for capturing and sharing that waterfall.

I’ve seen a few of these this winter but have never managed to get decent shots. Your photos are beautiful.

Thank you for those beautiful pictures. On walking in the hills of Wales, I often time see frozen waterfalls and berate myself for forgetting the camera (though I’m no photographer in any case
).
With the recent hot, sticky weather, there have been some tremendous storm clouds recently – they would make great photographs too.
Isn’t nature wonderful?
