Oh my, what a busy start to November! There have been birthday parties (including my own!*), anniversaries, elections and that’s all in the first week. Goodness only knows what the rest of the month will bring…
By way of catching my breath, I thought that I’d fill you in on some photography news. I have 3 main pieces of news, all with links for you to follow up:
- I have a photo for this month’s edition of The Calm Space. The theme for November is Home and Leah Maclean has made it into a beautiful desktop calender for this month. Head over and download it now, and while you’re there, take some time to browse through some of the great articles. Perfect for when you need a time out.
- I visited Tir Na Nog last weekend, which is a holistic centre about 40mins drive from where I live. While I was there, I took some photos to add to my Tir Na Nog set on Flickr. When I got home, I contacted the lovely ladies at the centre to let them know just how much I love visiting, and I gave them the link to the set in case they wanted a wee look. They’ve decided that they liked it so much that they’ve now added a link to the set from their website. You can go and check the website out for yourself, but if you are ever in the area you should really make a point of paying them a visit. Such a magical place.
- I was contacted by Jasmine Tragas in October asking if I would be interested in contributing a sentence to her wonderful project A Woman’s Investment for Women’s Opportunity. She also asked if she could use some of my photos for the slideshow to accompany the project. Of course I said yes!* The result is just amazing and so inspirational. I’m clearly not the only one to think so, as a couple of days ago the slideshow was picked up as Slideshare’s slideshow of the day! Anyway, after viewing the slideshow, please do consider contributing a donation towards a very worthy cause.
Well, I think that’s you all up to date now. I hope you enjoy the trail of photos I’ve left for you across the web. Where have you been on your web adventures recently? Any guest posts, photos, video clips, podcasts, voice threads etc. that you’d like to share?
*Thank you to all who sent birthday wishes over this last weekend. I received tweets, facebook messages emails, comments, a flickr photo and a lovely blog post. I was quite literally overwhelmed by how much love I received; it was all so appreciated! Birthdays are fabulous, aren’t they? I think I may have another one next year
*My photos have a creative commons license which means that others can copy, display, distribute, or perform them and they can use them to make drivative works as long as the photos are attributed to me, and they are not used for commercial reasons. If you do decide to use them in some way, I would really love to hear about it!

I thought you might like one of my photos of the day. This is the river that I can see from my home.
Happy birthday…I am still easing back into the blogging life and have some big irons in the fire, so I missed it.
