As proposed a few posts ago, I am launching a Changing Seasons photo challenge for my Flickr group, Photography Less Ordinary.
The rules are very simple:
- You need to have a Flickr account and be a member of Photography Less Ordinary.
- Submit one photograph that you think best represents the changing of the seasons in your part of the world to the group and as a comment to the Changing Seasons discussion thread.
- Add your contribution before the 1st of Nov.
Depending upon the number of entries, I will post the photos here with links to your blog/Flickr account, as I did with the Time Capsule challenge. I’m afraid there is no prize other than the pleasure of taking part, although I hope that you find this prize enough
If you are unsure about how to do any of these steps, worry not, as help is at hand!
For help taking photos, you can check out my photography series, The Fire of Images, which was very well received, and which I hope continues to be a valuable resource.
For help using Flickr and for more information on my Flickr group, you can fast forward through the series to the final post of The Fire of Images, which will hopefully answer some of your questions.
For help adding photos to Flickr comments, you can read the responses to this discussion thread.
I do so hope that you are all as excited about this as I am! Let me know if you plan to join in, and what your plans are for capturing that image which best sums up the change of seasons in your environment.

Amy, wow, what a great idea. My wife and I are planning to take our annual drive through the country to see the fall trees next week – now I’ll be sure to take the camera! (P.S. – your prize is completely satisfactory!)

Hi Amy, I’m in!
If I can find an actual sign of fall around here, count me in! Here in Houston we usually have 10-1/2 months of Summer, 2 weeks of Fall, 3 weeks of Winter and 2 more weeks of Spring. So you gotta be quick.

I’m still in the age of the pre-digital camera, I’m afraid, so probably won’t be posting a picture. But your picture here is just lovely. I’m imagining walking down that pathway and sitting on one of those benches with my coffee and my novel…
