That's so funny, Joanna! I've had that book for so many years, and have read it more times than I could count, and I have never once considered identifying with the dragon. I don't know what that says about me... Probably nothing very favourable!

Thank you for the encouragement, Claudia! Always appreciated :-)

I really do believe that the books we love as children effect the people, let alone the writers, that we become, Penelope Anne. Thank you for sharing some of your early favourites.

Books from my childhood...Mother Goose and Shel Silverstein. Collections of all the classics like Little Women and many more. Do they reflect on me? I know they helped me become a lover of the written word and to want to someday be a writer myself, now just to get over the stumbling blocks.

I've always believed that dragons exist - we just can't see them. Or maybe most of us can't see them. Or I should say that I haven't! ;)

I think you have a real knack - go for it!

Thanks for sharing more of the dragon story Amy. I like your interpretation and it's an importan lesson - to look for the extraordinary in the everyday. You teach us this very well :-)

I guess I'm thinking about the story from the point of view of the old man as much as Han. Because he had power, and chose to use it in transformational ways. And all of us do have that power - and can learn to use, to release it, to make change happen.

I'm also interested in dragons and writing because as I mentioned the other week when i think about releasing or realizing the power of our words I imagine myself breathing out fire, imagine others doing the same. Creating sparks that will fly, connect, transform.

I'm thinking about making this the hook for 'inspiration' & now the universe is definitely pointing me there!

Thanks Amy
